Job Description

Are you a service technician ready for a new challenge? Do you enjoy traveling to customers and being responsible for ongoing service and maintenance primarily within the refrigeration industry?

As a service technician at Samon, you will be a very important part of our business and the face of our company to our customers. You will work with service and maintenance for both new and existing customers. Based in Jönköping, you will have an exciting geographical area of responsibility that extends within a radius of 2-3 hours. The job includes planning/scheduling assignments as well as performing work that consists of calibrating detectors, testing equipment, installation/reconstruction, and documentation. You will also be part of our technical support and assist with technical help and guidance to installers and refrigeration technicians. You will work as a traveling service technician, which means approximately 50-70 overnight stays per year, mainly in Sweden. Assignments abroad may also be possible. You will work independently and have a great deal of responsibility.

SAMON is a manufacturing company located in Vellinge, south of Malmö. The company was founded in 1990 and has since its inception worked with gas detection primarily for the refrigeration industry, but also in other areas where harmful or dangerous concentrations of gases may occur. We are currently in an expansive and exciting phase as the requirements have tightened even more within the refrigeration industry, which places more frequent demands on the use of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Planning/scheduling assignments
  • Calibration of detectors, testing of equipment, installation/reconstruction, and documentation
  • Being part of our technical support and assisting with technical help and guidance to installers and refrigeration technicians
  • Approximately 50-70 overnight stays per year

Qualifications

  • Electrical engineering background in control/regulation/automation, preferably within refrigeration.
  • Completed education with a technical focus such as Refrigeration, Electrical Automation, control-regulation
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Social, service-oriented, and structured
  • Flexible and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
  • Proficient in Office Suite and quick on the computer.
  • Ability to travel for 1-5 days in a row for assignments
  • Ability to take great personal responsibility and work independently
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in similar work as a service technician
